Job Overview:

The primary objective of this position is to facilitate shipping and transfer operations in support of the Production Team.

This role is designed to guarantee that our products are prepared for Production use, systematically audited, managed, stored, and dispatched while ensuring efficient tracking, adherence to our stringent quality standards, and the maintenance of optimal customer service levels.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience in logistics or transportation.
  • Fundamental understanding of Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems.
  • Certification in forklift operation is required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion safety and quality within warehouse and shipping functions.

    Comply with all safety and quality standards set by Mars Inc/Royal Canin.

    Support the Packaging Line operations.

    Wrap pallets of finished goods using stretch-wrap materials.

    Organize empty bags for the Packaging Line as needed.

    Sort and stack broken down cardboard boxes into the case erector for the Packaging Line as necessary.

    Prepare and stage finished products in the warehouse or trailers.

    Ready trailers for loading.

    Load trailers with finished products.

    Unload production supplies (raw materials, packaging, pallets) from trailers.

    Report any issues to the Shipping Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator, Shift Manager, or Flow Manager.

    Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and control through cycle counts.

    Verify all necessary documentation, including quality, production, and sanitation records.

    Ensure all housekeeping tasks are completed and the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) is followed. Conduct changeovers and walkthroughs with incoming and outgoing teams to discuss the shipping area status and ensure cleanliness and safety.

    Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in shipping and warehouse operations.

    Oversee and maintain the forklift charging and inspection schedule.

    Ensure all forklift pre-checks are performed and documented.

    Carry out miscellaneous tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Warehouse Coordinator.

    Provide assistance in other production areas as requested.
