Job Description

Check-Mate Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled HR/Office Assistant to provide administrative support to the HR Department and other departments as needed. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all electronic files for Salaried and Hourly employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews and ensure that all performance reviews are completed timely in the month they are due.
  • Coordinate the pre-employment process, including drug, physical, and hearing tests, reference checks, and all phases of the new hire checklist.
  • Manage the internal promotion process and keep the Talent Manager and Director of HR informed.
  • Ensure that all benefit bills are paid correctly and file STD and LTD claims for employees as needed.
  • Investigate all work-related injuries and schedule appointments for injured employees with health care providers.
Requirements:
  • H.S. diploma or GED from an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 0-3+ years of experience working in the human resources field.
  • Ability to type 45-50 words per minute.
  • 1-5 years of Microsoft Office Experience (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
