Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at New Hire Solutions. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and doctor visits
  • Assist doctors and nurse practitioners with examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Review patient charts, check in patients, and obtain and record patient information
  • Assess patient reasons for visits and record symptoms, reactions, and treatments
  • Perform pre-examination work on patients, including transporting them to and from vehicles via wheelchairs
  • Administer medication and apply sterile dressings
  • Maintain and stock inventory and clinical supplies as needed
  • Educate patients on health-related issues
  • Coordinate laboratory specimen delivery and receipt, and provide information on laboratory results
  • Conduct weekly chart audits and document QI indicators in E-Clinical
  • Coordinate referrals and transportation to appointments, and arrange radiology tests and procedures
  • Monitor and maintain GRITS inventory, perform monthly inventory counts, and submit to VFC
  • Supervise and delegate duties to Medical Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants
  • Delegate routine tasks to others, perform telephone triage, and assess patient problems
  • Answer nurse calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding prescriptions and lab results
  • Monitor and maintain AED, crash cart, and O2, and document in crash cart log
  • Screen provider phone calls from hospitals, nursing homes, and other affiliates
  • Process pharmacy prior authorizations
  • Practice safety, environmental, and infection control methods

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • LPN Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • (Preferred) 1 year of GRITS and EPSDT experience
  • (Preferred) 1 year of medical office work experience
  • Lift at least 25 pounds
  • A clean drug screen
  • Effective communication and clear communication skills
  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and reach
  • Ability to handle patient care charts and patient histories
  • Knowledge of clinical and surgical operations and documentation
  • A clean background check
  • Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and services ordering and inventory control
  • Ability to safely lift and move patients
  • Knowledge of procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
  • Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments
  • Stand for the entirety of the shift
  • Knowledge of patient evaluation and triage procedures
  • Have a dependable vehicle
  • Wear and maintain PPE, including scrubs and closed-toed shoes

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $26.50 / Hour
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
