Piedmont Airlines is seeking a highly motivated and reliable professional to join our team as a Customer Service Agent in our Ground Handling Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our passengers, ensuring a smooth and efficient boarding and disembarking process, and maintaining a safe and secure airport environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights, ensuring a safe and efficient process.
- Monitor computerized passenger boarding systems to ensure accurate and timely departures.
- Provide assistance to customers with special needs, including arranging for wheelchairs and unaccompanied minors.
- Change customer flight itinerary and seat assignments as required.
- Operate the Jetway and other airport equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload baggage and cargo, ensuring accurate and timely handling.
- Operate motorized service vehicles and equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Guide and park aircraft, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
- Perform cabin maintenance tasks, ensuring a clean and safe environment for passengers.
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide exceptional customer service and meet corporate objectives.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of training course.
- Ability to meet company goals and customer expectations in a high-energy environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous airline experience, with a focus on customer service and ground handling.
- Previous employment as a front-line customer service provider, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs, with a focus on airport operations and customer service systems.
Work Environment:
- Work in a fast-paced airport environment, with a focus on safety and security.
- Use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment, with a focus on efficient and effective communication.
- Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and customer service.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs.
- Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Assist passengers with disabilities, including, but not limited to, pushing wheelchairs.
