Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to enhance our dynamic team in the Greensboro, NC office. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, a strong desire for professional growth, and a commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and/or review stability analyses, reinforced concrete design, and steel design for various hydraulic structures, including dams and spillways.
- Prepare and/or review design drawings, technical specifications, and reports.
- Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures.
- Provide construction observation and consultation as needed.
- Manage and coordinate tasks and projects effectively.
- Mentor junior structural engineering staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to high professional standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional Engineering license or eligibility for reciprocity upon employment.
- Relevant experience of 5 to 7 years in structural engineering is preferred.
- High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience with structural analysis software and finite element modeling.
- Willingness to perform fieldwork and travel as required.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds and navigate construction sites under various weather conditions.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam.
- Licensure as a Professional Structural Engineer.
- Knowledge and experience in seismic design.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check, which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening.
