Position Overview

The Senior Accountant at TEPHRA plays a crucial role in managing intricate financial transactions and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting processes for sophisticated transactions, ensuring the accuracy of journal entries and classifications.

  • Assist in generating financial reports for stakeholders, including management and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to guarantee precise financial data reporting.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of accounting issues pertinent to the department.
  • Identify and propose solutions for accounting-related challenges.
  • Explore opportunities for process enhancements, documenting workflows and assessing internal controls.
  • Create specialized reports and financial statements, presenting findings to senior management.
  • Engage in project teams, potentially leading initiatives to improve financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization's internal control framework.
  • Analyze budget variances and provide insights to division leaders.
  • Support the preparation of the divisional budget.
  • May oversee the preparation and review of statutory financial reports on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • May involve supervisory duties, including mentoring and reviewing the work of junior accountants.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
