Job Title: Radiology Tech Aide

DHR Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Tech Aide to join our team. As a Radiology Tech Aide, you will assist radiologic technologists with patient care and other duties that support the delivery of primary health care and patient care management under the direction of a physician.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist radiologic technologists with patient care and other duties that support the delivery of primary health care and patient care management under the direction of a physician.
  • Prepare and position patients for exams, transport patients to and from the imaging room, and assist with procedures in a timely manner.
  • Complete accurate documentation on patient records according to policy and maintain Texas Dept. of Health (TDH), American College of Radiology (ACR), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and Joint Commission standards.
  • Perform quality control and maintenance on equipment, and ensure exams are verified and completed in PACS and RIS systems.
  • Assume responsibility for the collection and processing of patient specimens, and complete and update all employment requirements, including employer required continuing education (i.e. HealthStream), Employee Health, and Radiology Competencies, and Credentials, etc.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled or graduate of an accredited radiology program.
  • At least one (1) year of clinical experience in Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • Must be ARRT registry eligible and apply for state license upon completion of the radiology program.
  • American Heart Association BLS required.
  • Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.
  • Secretarial experience and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English required, Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of staff and physicians.
  • Computer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
Working Conditions:

The individual spends over 95% of their time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.
