About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Construction Materials Intern. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction process and contribute to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and document field activities related to the construction process, including sampling, testing, and inspecting various materials.
  • Perform calculations and data reduction of test results, as well as drafting and documentation.
  • Use field screening equipment and document readings, while also interpreting engineering and construction plans.
  • Interact and communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop the confidence to represent ECS on project sites and take on increasing responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in how building materials are utilized in the construction process.
  • Ability to carry 40-70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 lbs to waist height.
  • Reliable transportation for use on job sites, with mileage reimbursement provided.
