Path Construction, a rapidly growing commercial general contractor, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team in the Knoxville, TN area. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management, construction administration, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in managing day-to-day activities of subcontractors and suppliers
- Support contract administration, procurement, estimating, and cost control
- Participate in project coordination meetings and document job site safety and accident prevention
- Monitor and document construction scheduling, material procurement, and equipment expediting
- Review and negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors
- Prepare change proposals and document change order pricing
- Research and suggest options on construction means, methods, and equipment
- Implement safety programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs on the project
- Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Building Construction, Engineering, or a related field
- Up-to-date with modern technology and excellent communication skills
- General knowledge of construction principles and practices
- Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel may be required
