As a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the setup, deployment, and ongoing management of advanced security solutions for our clients in a continuous operational environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, implementing configuration changes, addressing vulnerabilities, managing accounts, and performing software updates, all while collaborating with a diverse team of cybersecurity professionals. A strong customer focus and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, complex environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Intrusion Prevention Systems, Network Access Control, and Remote Access solutions.
  • Oversee daily security operations and maintain documentation of the current network topology and defined services.
  • Manage security incidents, conduct information security audits, and oversee vulnerability management.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving a variety of client-related issues.
  • Integrate change management into all operational processes as per client guidelines.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, set clear expectations, and motivate team members to achieve high performance.
  • Effectively manage client escalations and engage in technical discussions regarding various activities.
  • Ensure timely resolution of ticketed requests and issues in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction above all else.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience in supporting network security solutions, including Network IPS, Network Access Control, and Remote Access.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in antivirus and malware remediation.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of network operating systems, equipment, and protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with NAC solutions and devices.
  • Familiarity with security techniques, current protocols, and defenses against emerging threats.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including cyber-attacks, threat vectors, and risk management.
  • Experience managing incidents related to malware and virus outbreaks.
  • Solid understanding of networking, including routers, switches, and both wired and wireless topologies.
  • Working knowledge of AAA services such as ACS, Radius, and RSA.
  • Experience with VPN technologies including IPSEC and SSL VPN.
  • Multi-vendor network security experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to generate and analyze reports and dashboards on alerts.
  • Capacity to manage high-pressure situations with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with McAfee Network Security Platform and relevant certifications.
  • Experience with ClearPass and related certifications.
  • Experience with McAfee Endpoint Security and Palo Alto Networks Threat Prevention.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems including Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux.
  • Prior experience with IT security technologies such as Site-to-Site VPN and Network IPS.
  • Knowledge of change control policies and procedures.
  • ITIL certification or experience.
