Responsibilities:
  • Manage warehouse operations in compliance with company policies and vision
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the logistics ecosystem
  • Act as a liaison between logistics partners and carriers
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and 3PL operations
  • Setup and optimize warehouse layout for efficient space utilization
  • Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to optimize budget
  • Liaise with drivers, employees, customer service, and transport companies
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees
  • Monitor and resolve package and driver issues
  • Drive company transit van to outer markets to deliver cargo to fleet of drivers
  • Reconcile drivers' packages when distributing and collecting them
  • Ability to frequently move boxes weighing up to 30-50 pounds
Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as a Lead or Supervisor
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience driving a transit van
