Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to take on the role of Advanced IT Support Specialist. Join our diverse team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional technical assistance and support.
As an Advanced IT Support Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot and resolve user-related technical issues promptly while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will utilize remote assistance tools and a systematic ticketing platform to document and manage all user interactions. On occasion, you may be required to perform on-site visits for direct troubleshooting and user training.
Key Responsibilities
- Possess a Secret Clearance
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support services
- Diagnose and rectify issues related to software, hardware, and systems
- Engage with users to assess their needs and provide guidance on processes
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients
- Configure and oversee end-user devices, including computers and printers
- Conduct hands-on installations and repairs as necessary
- Manage user account creation and deletion
- Understand and apply information security principles and protocols
- Comply with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office, Trellix HBSS/ESS, Horizon VDI, SharePoint, TCP/IP, and Active Directory
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering, or a degree in Mathematics or Engineering
- Relevant industry experience may substitute for formal education
- DOD IAT II certification is required upon hiring (e.g., Security+). Candidates must obtain an advanced DODM certification before the government deadline (Advanced: FITSP-O, GICSP, CASP+, CISA, or SSCP).

Security Clearance Requirement
