Job Title: Quality Control Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Inceed. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with government regulations, laws, company policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control: Ensure compliance with government regulations, laws, company policies, and procedures.
  • Assembly and Inspection: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager, including assembly and inspection of coils.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with all departments to create and implement in-process quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in teams focused on improving equipment design and functionality, including PDCA, KATA, LMS, and Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
  • Coil and Quality Engineering: Partner with coil and quality engineers to enhance product quality and machine operations.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Develop and monitor KPIs such as grading, rework, and leak rates, and review results with Production weekly.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training to address issues identified through quality control initiatives.
  • Nonconformances and Corrective Actions: Review nonconformances and implement corrective actions, including creating and distributing toolbox talks and training materials.
  • Quality Checklists: Conduct spot checks on quality checklists in various groups, including size and quality of ball bearings, expansion mandrels, turbulator tools, fly cutting, and swaging depth.
  • Tubing Inspection: Inspect tubing for physical damage, excess oil, or other contaminants, including loose tubing for eddy marks or other manufacturer markings.
  • Coil Inspection: Monitor coils in production for defects and perform detailed spot checks, ensuring measurements match specifications before expansion and conducting various tests.
  • Assistance and Reviews: Assist various production groups as needed, including Fin, Tube, Build, Expanding, Brazing, Floaters, and Test, and conduct daily reviews of production areas.
  • Manufacturing Instructions: Ensure adherence to manufacturing instructions during equipment assembly.
  • CSF and Build Documents: Review and understand CSF and other build documents throughout the assembly process.
  • Shop and Surrounding Area Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations, and coordinating with coil shop personnel on shop and surrounding area cleanliness.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A high school level of education is mandatory for this position in order to continue upward advancement in the company.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Skills: Ability to use Microsoft product software, self-motivated, effective oral and written communication skills, mechanical and technical aptitude, alertness and precision working with tools, basic computer and math skills, knowledge of assembly and servicing of refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in a diplomatic and positive manner at all levels of understanding (entry level to engineering).
