Nuclear Medicine Technician Position Overview
Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technician to work in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role is essential in providing high-quality nuclear medicine services.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of the Imaging Supervisor, you will perform nuclear medicine examinations, manage scheduling, and assist in the introduction of new procedures.
  • Support patient care by managing equipment such as IV pumps and oxygen, maintaining room and equipment standards, and assisting physicians during procedures.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to ensure the efficient operation of the Nuclear Medicine department.
  • Possess a degree from an accredited institution in radiologic technology or nuclear medicine, and be registered or eligible for registration.
  • Maintain compliance with quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Exhibit proficiency in nuclear medicine physics, anatomy, and imaging techniques to ensure optimal examination quality.
  • Manage multiple tasks while fostering a positive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Facilitate patient preparation and scanning processes to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support departmental activities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide age-appropriate care, understanding the developmental needs of patients across various age groups.
Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Completion of vocational or technical education.
  • Certification as a CNMT upon hiring.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hiring.
  • Training in Nuclear Medicine.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in the field.
