Objective

This program aims to deliver a thorough educational framework for graduate physician assistants seeking to enhance their expertise in orthopedic surgery, non-operative sports medicine, and injury prevention strategies.

Program Aims & Objectives

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of orthopedic subspecialties, examination techniques, and surgical procedures.
  • Attract and retain proficient and knowledgeable PAs dedicated to expanding their orthopedic expertise.
  • Develop essential business acumen for independent practice in nonoperative orthopedics.

Curriculum Overview

The curriculum encompasses academic learning, clinical competencies, and professional development & leadership training. Residents will participate in outpatient care, assist in surgical procedures, and experience various orthopedic specialties.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We seek enthusiastic physician assistants who are passionate about orthopedics and keen to refine their clinical abilities in nonoperative orthopedic care. The program provides a comprehensive view of orthopedic practices with an emphasis on nonoperative methods.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduation from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
  • Certification by the NCCPA.
  • Submission of academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, CV, and a personal statement.
  • Possession of a Texas PA license or pending application status.
