Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified lifeguard to join our team at Highlands Recreation District. As a weekday lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patrons and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment.
  • Perform rescues and administer first aid/CPR as necessary.
  • Assist in the overall operations of the pool, including opening and closing.
  • Maintain a clean and debris-free pool area and locker room facilities.
  • Provide positive, professional, and polite public relations.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
Requirements
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard training and certification.
  • Ability to perform rescues, give CPR, and administer first aid as necessary.
  • Knowledge of pool rules and practices.
  • Ability to work with patrons with special needs.
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday.
Qualifications
  • Equivalent to the completion of ninth grade; additional schooling is desirable.
  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm in stressful situations.
