The Advanced Practice Provider plays a crucial role in supporting the Physician in the management of patient care.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Physician in delivering patient care.
  • Conduct patient evaluations, gather medical history, and perform relevant physical assessments.
  • Provide post-operative wound care and follow-up services.
  • Coordinate patient care, including testing and preparation for procedures.
  • Ensure thorough documentation and availability of medical records, reports, and imaging studies.
  • Educate patients on health management, offering counseling and guidance.
  • Assist in referring patients to appropriate healthcare facilities or specialists.
  • Document progress notes, medical histories, and discharge summaries.
  • Administer and/or prescribe medications as directed by the supervising Physician.
  • Implement emergency protocols as necessary.
  • Review patient charts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide ongoing consultation and training to clinical staff.
  • Monitor patients for specialized tests and procedures.
  • Advise patients on preventive health measures.
  • Share on-call duties with the supervising Physician as needed.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervising Physician, in line with the Physician Assistant's training and expertise.
  • Comply with office policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current, valid license in good standing.
  • Certification maintained in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Ability to perform healthcare tasks effectively, prioritizing patient welfare.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient diagnostic skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited program or equivalent.
  • Meets the qualifications set forth by the Board of Medicine.
  • Experience in Internal Medicine is preferred but not mandatory.
