  • Shipment Management: Oversee the routing, tracking, and tracing of air cargo shipments.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve shipping complications and delays effectively.
  • Client Communication: Engage with both internal and external clients, providing updates on pick-ups, departures, arrivals, and delivery confirmations.
  • High-Value Cargo Handling: Recognize and secure high-value shipments.
  • Inspection and Documentation: Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare the necessary documentation, ensuring timely closure of files.
  • Quoting and Profit Analysis: Assist in generating quotes and calculating profit margins, while updating shipment details in the system.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Industry Expertise: Understanding of air freight operations and dock procedures.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using Excel, Word, Outlook, and Transoft software.
  • Independent Work and Problem-Solving: Capable of working autonomously, prioritizing tasks, and addressing recurring challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Willingness to perform non-managerial duties of Air Cargo managers when necessary, and lead customer-facing and reporting tasks.
  • On-Call Participation: Engage in an on-call rotation every 6 weeks for customers, sales, and operations.
