Job Summary:

The occupational therapist (OT) is a qualified professional person who directs, supervises, evaluates and provides occupational therapy services to patients in a home health setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Care Plan Development: Create and update individualized patient care plans to address occupational therapy needs.
  • Therapy Services: Deliver rehabilitative activities and services tailored to each patient's therapy goals, fostering improved functional outcome.
  • Documentation and Patient Records: Create and maintain patient records and clinical notes in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration and Development: Attend and participate in case conferences with local teams monthly, and actively participate in staff development opportunities.
  • Supervision Duties: Oversee Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with Executive Council for Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
  • Communication: Communicate between agency, clients and your Area Support Manager to ensure well-coordinated approach to patient care.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensure: Current Texas licensure as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) and registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Preferred: One year experience in pediatric or home health occupational therapy
  • Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish
