Position Summary

We are currently looking for skilled Mill/Mixer Operators to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the production of premium printing inks. The ideal candidate will receive training to operate milling machinery and engage in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of machinery in accordance with TPM standards.
  • Batch Preparation: Accurately weigh and prepare batches by following specified process orders.
  • Mixing Operations: Safely discharge pigments and operate mixers, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Mill Operation: Manage the Hockmeyer mill to maintain optimal equipment effectiveness.
  • Database Management: Create and maintain a comprehensive database of formulas and processing times.
  • Quality Control: Act as a liaison for quality assurance, providing ink samples and making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot any operational issues.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve production goals.
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 months of relevant work experience.
  • Strong mathematical and basic computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and reliability in work attendance.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred:

  • Experience operating forklifts (training available).
  • Background in mixing, milling, or pump filtration.
  • Prior experience in the ink manufacturing sector.
