Crane Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Service Technician to join our team at American Equipment Holdings. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing quality installations, inspections, fabrication, maintenance, and repairs of hoist and crane equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists to ensure safety and compliance with manufacturer, OSHA, and ANSI standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment, including electrical components and circuits.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities on equipment.
- Support customers by effectively communicating with them and the office to repair equipment as needed.
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
- Provide a high level of communication with both the office and customers regarding repairs performed, future needs, and equipment IDs.
- Good mechanical and electrical skills are required.
- Minimum one to five years of work experience with similar types of equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Machining and welding skills are a plus.
- You will need to pass a drug test and periodic drug tests.
- Current driver's license and safe driving record are required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- We require you to take a mechanical, electrical, and basic knowledge test.
- Work in various environments and conditions depending on the assignment.
- Occasional overtime is required.
- Occasional out-of-town work is required.
- Work at heights is involved.
- Some heavy lifting is required up to 50 pounds.
This is a full-time position, with typical work hours and days being Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding are required.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Tolerance to work at heights is required.
- Tolerance to work in high heat environments at times is required.
