Job Overview

The Tax Analyst will provide critical support to the Director, Tax in various tax-related tasks, including research, calculations, and compliance reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparation of compliance reporting for state and local taxes, including property taxes, PILOT programs, sales & use tax, excise tax, franchise tax, and income tax.
  • Participate in discussions and negotiations regarding payments in lieu of taxes (PILOT) agreements.
  • Develop relationships with external consultants and third parties who prepare income tax returns or other contracted professional services.
  • Monitor deadlines and deliverables to Tax Equity partners.
  • Prepare answers to tax-related questions from internal and external parties.
  • Aid other team members with various ad-hoc requests.
  • Provide ongoing insight on tax savings optimization and internal process efficiency.
Qualifications

We are seeking highly motivated individuals who want to be part of a fast-paced and fluid company poised for growth in the renewable energy industry. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a strong understanding of partnership and corporate income tax returns, as well as state and local tax filings.

Key qualifications include:

  • 0-3 years of experience in a tax-related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English.
  • Knowledge of partnership and corporate income tax returns, as well as state and local tax filings.
  • Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, with experience in Sage Intacct a plus.
