Key Responsibilities- Develop and evaluate agency-wide non-mandated programs and services

- Lead a team of professionals responsible for program operations
- Develop and coordinate overall planning and design of research and program evaluation initiatives
- Conduct controlled studies, analysis, and evaluation of programming or initiatives
- Assess program needs and coordinate activities with other public and private agencies
- Initiate and prepare requests for grants and ensure implementation and execution of grant requirements
- Maintain statistics, research, and best practices pertaining to correctional treatments
- Determine appropriate staffing levels and direct management and coordination of staff
- Master's Degree in Public Administration, Personnel Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Psychology, or an equivalent/related field
- Five years of satisfactory experience in an administrative, managerial, or executive capacity, with at least 18 months in a supervisory role
- Considerable knowledge of modern correctional program needs and risk assessments
- Significant knowledge of laws, regulations, consent decrees, minimum standards, and other legal mandates affecting the field of correction and the criminal justice system
- Ability to establish and maintain effective liaison with executive staff members and other stakeholders
- Ability to draft proposals and negotiate at the highest levels to obtain grants
- At least 15 years of experience in corrections, probation, parole, or law enforcement
- Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility
- Residency in New York City or surrounding counties
