As a Residential Child-Care Regulation Inspector with the Health & Human Services Comm, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of children in residential child-care facilities throughout the State of Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and investigate residential child-care facilities to ensure compliance with state regulations and standards.
  • Conduct facility inspections, investigations, and evaluations to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to residential child-care providers on issues related to minimum standards.
  • Collaborate with providers, stakeholders, and the general public to promote compliance and improve the quality of care.
  • Respond to emergency complaints of high-risk situations in residential child-care facilities.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Residential Child Care Licensing Inspector certification or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
