Child Welfare Specialist

At the State of Montana, we are seeking a skilled Child Welfare Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Child and Family Services Division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in Montana.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather information from callers to determine whether statutory criteria for investigation are present.
  • Assign priority response time and route reports to local offices to ensure timely responses to identified safety threats.
  • Verify information from multiple data sources to determine additional requirements, including escalated safety factors of the alleged victim and field staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
  • One year of human services experience working with children and families.
