Job Summary:
Under the direction of a physician/provider, provide clinical/nursing care in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Taking medical histories and documenting completely and accurately in the EMR
Preparing patients for examinations and assisting the medical provider during examinations
Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, including urine, swabs, blood, or other as required
Performing basic in-office procedures, such as ear cleanings or other minor clinical procedures, at the direction of the medical providers
Providing education and instruction to patients based on the medical provider's assessment and plan
Preparing and administering medications/vaccines/immunizations, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider
Performing EKG/ECG and administrative duties, including using computer applications and Electronic Medical Record, answering telephones, and calling patients with results or other clinical information designated by the provider
Maintaining current knowledge/certification/licensure and pursuing professional growth and attending all required training programs
