Agile Release Train Engineer

At Tekfortune Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Release Train Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for orchestrating and facilitating the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure alignment, prioritization, and value delivery across different Agile teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Release Train Orchestration: You will be responsible for orchestrating and facilitating the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure alignment, prioritization, and value delivery across different Agile teams.
  2. Facilitation and Communication: Strong facilitation and communication skills are required to facilitate important rituals like PI planning, inspect and adapt workshops, and Scrum of Scrums.
  3. Problem Solving: You will frequently encounter difficult problems and constraints that may hinder workflow, and you must detect and solve concerns as soon as possible, collaborating with teams to client solutions and maintain progress.
  4. Metrics and Reporting: You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on the ART's progress, including data for team performance, program progress, and the train's overall health.
  5. Continuous Improvement: You will be accountable for building a culture of continuous improvement as an Agile champion, supporting retrospectives, and assisting teams in identifying opportunities for improvement in both processes and practices.
  6. Servant Leadership: You will serve as a servant leader, supporting and guiding teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners, seeking to remove barriers and empower teams to effectively self-organize.

Requirements:

  1. Leadership Skills: A strong leader with the capacity to motivate and influence teams is required for an effective RTE.
  2. Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: You must be able to assess complex challenges, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions.
  3. Communication Skills: Communication must be clear, straightforward, and compassionate, effectively communicating with teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment and understanding.
  4. Technical Knowledge: While not necessarily required, having technical knowledge or experience in software development can be beneficial in understanding the ART's work and effectively conducting technical talks.
  5. Organizational Change Management: Understanding the principles and techniques of change management is advantageous.
  6. Conflict Resolution: Conflicts can occur within teams as well as at the program level, and you must be skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation.
  7. SAFe Certification: SAFe certification is required.
