Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Marketing Specialist to enhance our Hornet Hospitality initiatives. The Marketing Specialist will be tasked with the development and execution of marketing initiatives aimed at fostering business expansion, improving customer satisfaction, and bolstering client loyalty.

COMPENSATION: The hourly wage for this role is set between $24.00 and $24.00, influenced by various factors such as the applicant's qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, prior experience, market trends, and other pertinent elements. Additional earnings may include bonuses or commissions where applicable. This reflects Aramark's reasonable estimate of the compensation range at the time of posting.

Upon hiring, the employee will be classified as 'at-will,' allowing Aramark to adjust base salary and other discretionary compensation programs at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to individual performance, departmental performance, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and implement meal plan promotional events across campus to drive revenue.
  • Evaluate the success and sales metrics of each initiative to formulate strategies that enhance our dining services.
  • Oversee marketing interns, including recruitment, training, and daily supervision.
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute a calendar of events in partnership with the operations team and other marketing colleagues to engage the student body.
  • Collaborate with team members to create promotional materials such as brochures, posters, signage, and flyers for events or operational needs.
  • Manage all social media channels, crafting and executing innovative content.
  • Produce high-quality images and videos to create engaging content, enhance brand visibility, and connect with audiences, particularly during promotions and events.
  • Oversee website content management, enhancements, and ongoing development.
  • Work alongside the Marketing Manager to identify new marketing avenues by category, propose actions, plan projects, estimate costs, and ensure project completion.
  • Assist in the continuous development of marketing reports for all stakeholders.
  • Support the formulation of an annual marketing strategy with tactics aimed at refining focus categories and proprietary brands to drive ongoing improvement and innovation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in advertising, communications, marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in event planning or marketing, particularly in support of public events.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms; experience with Emplifi is advantageous.
  • Strong graphic design and video editing capabilities; familiarity with Canva is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while meeting tight deadlines, producing high-quality work, and maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to understand and follow directions efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to cover events during evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Submission of a cover letter and resume is required for consideration, along with a marketing portfolio.
