The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy, knowledge, skill, and experience in patient care. This pivotal position plays a significant role in overseeing the facility's operations as a supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Valid NY RN license in good standing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to plan, organize, and implement policies and procedures
- At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or nursing facility
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the nursing staff in compliance with current regulations and guidelines governing long-term care facilities.
- Perform administrative tasks including report completion, evaluations, charting, IV therapy, discharge planning, and incident reporting as required. Collaborate with physicians, residents, and families in planning care and treatment.
- Ensure nursing care is delivered fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, while prioritizing residents' needs.
- Enforce established policies and procedures, including dress codes and identification badges, ensuring compliance among all department personnel. Facilitate educational events for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs as scheduled.
- Work closely with support departments to guarantee a smooth admission or transfer process, including room readiness and transfer of medical information.
- Conduct rounds to assess and meet the needs of patients/residents. Monitor all aspects of patient care, including dietary and physical activity, and report any changes in conditions to the Unit Manager/Director.

Additional Requirements:
