Role Overview
Primary Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Risk Specialist, reporting to the Global Supply Chain team, plays a crucial role in supporting essential risk management initiatives, including but not limited to supplier financial risk, supplier cybersecurity risk, supplier geopolitical risk, and commodity intelligence. This role also involves delivering data-driven insights to key business stakeholders and leading projects that align with these objectives. Success in this position requires identifying gaps and opportunities to enhance supply continuity and mitigate risks for both Intuitive and external partners. Building relationships across key functions such as Global Supply Chain (GSC), Supplier Engineering, Information Technology, Enterprise Analytics, Business Units, Finance, Global Operations, and the Direct Supply Base is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee Supplier Risk Programs, including Financial, Cyber, and Event Risk.
- Generate reports, develop KPIs, and provide data-driven insights to critical stakeholders based on risk program results.
- Assist with ad hoc intelligence and reporting on urgent issues as they arise.
- Create predictive insights related to risk and integrate these insights into sustainable business practices.
- Support key initiatives from the business (GSC), including areas such as inventory visibility and its relationship to risk.
- This role may also encompass additional risk-related responsibilities, including sub-tier risk management, supplier risk program development, and early-stage risk identification and mitigation efforts.
Required Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong collaboration abilities.
- Proficient in data modeling (Financial, Risk, etc.).
- Data analytics skills, particularly with large datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business/Economics, or Supply Chain).
- 1 to 4 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
- Advanced data analytics skills (SQL, R Studio, Python, etc.).
- Experience in building and designing dashboards (Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with software solutions: SAP/ERP.
- Certifications such as APICS, PMP, etc.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification.
- Project management experience.
