Johnstone Supply is a leading employee-owned organization in the HVAC industry, dedicated to providing exceptional service and products to our customers. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Operations Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately pull and pick orders from pick tickets
  • Receive, process, and store incoming product shipments
  • Inspect shipments for damage or shortages and document any discrepancies
  • Prepare receiving reports and note any discrepancies
  • Verify vendor part numbers and Johnstone stock numbers for incoming products
  • Select products from inventory to fill customer orders
  • Adhere to standards to prepare, pack, scan, and stage products for inter-store transfer and customer pick-up and delivery
  • Process documentation necessary to ship inter-store transfers and customer orders
  • Load delivery vehicles
  • Process customer returns in accordance with company policy
  • Verify warranty paperwork and initiate warranty return process
  • Perform periodic cycle counting and maintain accurate records of inventory
  • Ensure safety by maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment of the warehouse
  • Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment safely and in accordance with organizational procedures
  • Comply with safety and protective equipment policies and procedures
  • Maintain required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications
  • May drive delivery truck or van to transport items to other stores or customer locations when needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., email programs, internet browsers)
  • Preferred: skills in operation of heavy equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, and order picker), skills in operations of delivery vehicles (e.g., vans, box trucks up to 26 feet), experience with computer or barcode driven inventory management systems

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift to 75 pounds, climb and balance on ladders and equipment; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; and reach, push, pull and manipulate
  • Most work is performed in a warehouse environment without air conditioning, which may include hot and cold temperatures, dust, dirt, and noise
