Job Summary
The University of Minnesota seeks a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality MRI exams for diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images
- Schedule patients for MRI exams and ensure proper identification on all images
- Accurately complete computer functions according to department policies
- Stay up-to-date with new developments in the field of MRI
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
Requirements
- AAS degree or equivalent hospital-based training program with certificate of completion
- Knowledge of basic nursing practices related to MRI, including emergency procedures, sterile practices, infection control techniques, and CPR
- Experience working in an academic or clinical setting
- 3 to 6 months of experience as an MRI Technologist
