Job Title: Housekeeper

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at The Downs Racetrack & Casino. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain assigned areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
  • Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, and restock supplies as needed
  • Transport trash and dirty linens to designated areas
  • Assist with company laundry and distribution
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks in public areas and report any issues to supervisors
  • Inspect work areas regularly to identify potential problems or repairs
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons, communicating in a friendly and professional manner
Requirements:
  • Team-oriented and excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform moderate to heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Work is normally performed in a typical casino environment with moderate to high noise levels and exposure to cigarette smoke
  • Must be able to walk, stoop, bend, reach, and stretch for extended periods
  • Ability to perform light lifting, up to 50 lbs
