At SSM Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Site Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising pharmacy site operations, services, and personnel assigned. Your expertise will be instrumental in facilitating the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems and workflows, ensuring costs are within budget, and performing duties of a managing pharmacist in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Supervision: Supervise staff, students, and residents as assigned, including recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, staff development, counseling, disciplining, scheduling, payroll, and conducting staff meetings.
  • Workflow Development: Develop and maintain efficient workflows, procedures, and processes to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
  • Financial Management: Assist in developing the pharmacy budget, reviewing monthly financial and human resource budget, and explaining variances to supervisors and pharmacy leadership.
  • Customer Service: Create and promote a positive, customer service-oriented image of the pharmacy, ensuring high standards of confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Quality Assurance: Contribute to zero medication errors with injury by completing Near Miss and Occurrence reports, reviewing medication event reports, and identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and disposal of expired stock.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with professional literature, maintain competence required for the position, and precept pharmacy students and residents as applicable.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D or Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • One year of experience in pharmacy operations or a related field.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.

Professional Licenses and Certifications:

  • Pharmacist, Registered - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • Pharmacist - Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
  • Pharmacist - Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Pharmacist - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
