Overview:

Garnet Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology team at Garnet Health Medical Center-Middletown. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a critical role in providing technical direction to Medical Dosimetrists and Therapists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction to Medical Dosimetrists and Therapists for external beam, stereotactic radiosurgery, prostate implants, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and HDR treatments.
  • Perform 3D, IMRT/VMAT, SRS, SBRT, and HDR Brachytherapy treatment plans as needed.
  • Work independently on medical physics duties, including providing technical support and guidance to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Radiological Physics or a closely related field.
  • Passed Part II of ABR board exam.
  • New York State license application submitted within 30 days of start date.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of employment.

The Medical Physicist will work in a quiet, dedicated, and controlled environment, requiring concentration and attention to detail. The position involves lifting heavy equipment and handling sensitive instruments on a daily basis.
