We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Analyst to join our team at Bloomberg Finance. As a key member of our Chief Accounting Office, you will play a critical role in providing world-class support to our business partners by delivering insightful financial analysis and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end close process for multiple financial products and legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely expense/accrual analysis, variance analysis, and journal entry preparation.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis across multiple legal entities, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Calculate intercompany fees in accordance with governing agreements and coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve proper and timely intercompany billing and settlements.
  • Prepare regulatory reports filed with various regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate and support year-end audits, ensuring all necessary work is performed, auditors' questions and follow-up items are addressed, and internal controls are operating effectively.
  • Maintain internal controls documentation up-to-date and ensure controls are operating effectively, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Lead the implementation of process improvements to build efficiencies and strengthen internal controls across coverage areas.
  • Complete ad-hoc requests and contribute to special projects as needed.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with a strong foundation in US GAAP.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks for self and for team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA (or equivalent) or working towards one.
  • Experience in public accounting.
  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Specific broker-dealer or other regulated entity regulatory reporting experience.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar accounting system.
