Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commercial Lending Assistant to support our Commercial and Business Services team. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative assistance to our management, business relationship officers, and business loan officers, ensuring seamless loan processing and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Commercial & Business Services Management, Business Relationship Officers, and Business Loan Officers, including gathering information, verifying loan applications, and preparing loan approval credit memos.
  • Assist with loan processing, including ordering credit reports, maintaining knowledge of current lending policies and regulations, and identifying policy exceptions.
  • Complete monthly board reports, create formulated Excel spreadsheets, and create Helpdesk tickets for report corrections.
  • Assist with gathering financial and corporate documents from members, draft letters and agreements, and order construction inspections.
  • Disburse loan funds, prepare cashier's checks, and initiate wire transfers for loan closings.
  • Assist Business Loan Officers with past due loans and maturing loans, review exception/tickler reports, and clear items.
Requirements
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to create, manage, and work with various Excel spreadsheets.
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational and prioritization skills, and commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting deadlines.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience, background in commercial compliance, or prior commercial loan assistance.
  • Understanding of mortgage loan processes and requirements.
