Housekeeper Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at MBK Senior Living. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our community, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain all resident apartments, common areas, and offices, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Ensure all areas are free from dirt, dust, and other hazards, using proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
  • Monitor and remove all trash and waste from inside areas to designated trash cans/areas.
  • Follow established schedules and procedures for cleaning and maintenance.
  • Use all necessary safety and protective equipment when handling hazardous waste and/or chemicals.
  • Assist in the marketing of our community by displaying a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
  • Encourage teamwork through open communication with co-workers and other departments.
Requirements:
  • Age 18 or over, or have the proper work permit and work authorization documentation.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Background clearances as required by government regulations.
  • Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results.
  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred, but on-the-job training is available for candidates with the right attitude and desire.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds.
