Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As an OTA, you'll work closely with our Occupational Therapist to provide treatment to residents, record treatments, and maintain accurate documentation. Your goal will be to help our patients regain quality of life and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide treatment to residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Record treatments given in medical records
  • Instruct families and staff in maintenance programs as directed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Communicate with supervisor and other interdisciplinary team members regarding resident progress, problems, and plans
  • Participate in resident-care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings
  • Maintain resident confidence and protect nursing home operations by keeping information confidential
  • Records daily treatment charges according to facility policy and procedures
  • Protect resident and employee by adhering to infection control policies and protection protocols
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with facility and department procedure rules and regulations
  • Provides community-based services such as health and wellness activities as required
Qualifications:
  • Current licensure in practicing state and/or nationally certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Meets educational requirements established in the state of practice
  • Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
