Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Technician to join our team at Napa Valley Physical Therapy Center, a member of Therapy Partners Group. As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of physical therapists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, and assisting them into physical therapy attire.
  • Perform laundry and maintain an adequate supply of clean linens.
  • Record daily notes under the direct supervision of a physical therapist.
  • Provide information to patients by answering questions and requests.
  • Assist patients with physical therapy treatment by applying ice or heat packs, helping patients onto exercise equipment, and monitoring their progress.
  • Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering them to the treatment area.
  • Ensure the operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock levels and anticipating needed supplies.
  • Enhance the physical therapy department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Collect garbage at the end of each working day.
  • Report any issues needing resolution to physical therapists.

Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential documents.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate in an honest, direct, and professional manner, relating well to others to build rapport and effective relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate active listening by asking clarifying questions, identifying and sharing relevant information, and soliciting feedback from others.
  • Ability to identify and problem-solve.
  • Strong team player.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in customer service.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
This role requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. It also requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Normal range of hearing and eyesight are required to record, prepare, and present reports.
