Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented TAP Program Coordinator to join our team at the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe. Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the Tribe's Tribal Access Program (TAP)
  • Provide administrative assistance to various departments
  • Review and update policies and procedures
  • Coordinate meetings and maintain communication
  • Maintain knowledge of tribal laws and applicable federal law
  • Attend and complete necessary training
  • Ensure data collection for audit requirements
  • Process and complete sex offender registration
  • Provide administrative support
  • Maintain master copy of policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain partnerships
  • Process and complete queries
  • Enter warrants and charging documents
  • Complete fingerprints for various agencies
  • Enter no contact/protection orders
  • Responsible for project management
  • Assist Office Manager with administrative duties
Requirements
  • Valid Washington State driver's license
  • High school/GED required, AA preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a tribal setting
  • Computer knowledge and proficiency
  • Pass a criminal justice background check
  • Pass a drug test
  • Experience in successful collaboration projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of modern police practices and methods
  • Knowledge of controlling laws and ordinances
  • Willingness to abide by confidentiality policies
  • Ability to cooperate and collaborate with agencies
  • Knowledge of outside agencies
  • Knowledge of tribal culture and traditions
  • Ability to work fairly and effectively with the tribal community
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and climb stairs
  • Ability to lift, push/pull objects up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to utilize manual dexterity to operate office machines
