We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer Project Manager to join our Land Development team in downtown Los Angeles, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing existing projects, including staffing, budgeting, financial planning, scheduling, and cost estimating.
Responsibilities
- Business Development: Lead business development efforts and pursue new opportunities to drive growth and expansion.
- Project Management: Provide technical oversight and review of existing project activities, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Design Experience: Utilize expertise in grading, utilities, low-impact development, drainage, and public improvements to drive project success.
- Staff Management: Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure project goals are met.
- Client Service: Act as a client advocate, ensuring satisfaction and building strong relationships with clients.
- Entitlement Process: Assist with entitlement process and permit processing for development projects, coordinating with land use consultants as needed.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Registration: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years' experience as a project manager in civil engineering design with private development, facilities, infrastructure, and public works design projects.
- Skills: Ability to manage multi-discipline engineering projects, clients, and staff; set fees and negotiate contracts; prepare and deliver presentations; write proposals; respond to RFPs and RFQs, and project invoicing.
- Technical Knowledge: Expert technical knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
