At NextCare, we are seeking a part-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care to urgent care patients in Elizabeth City, NC.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical best practices for an urgent care and/or occupational health setting, with the ability to evaluate and treat patients effectively.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and treating patients in accordance with clinical best practices
  • Providing compassionate and respectful patient care consistent with NextCare services, values, and mission statement
  • Documenting care utilizing the electronic documentation system
  • Taking personal responsibility for appropriately coding and billing for care rendered
  • Maintaining clinical productivity consistent with peers and industry standards for a similar setting

The selected candidate will be expected to work 12 hour shifts, rotating weekends and occasional holidays, and will be required to have an active North Carolina medical license, NCCPA certification for a Physician Assistant or ANCC or AANP certification for a Nurse Practitioner, and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies or Master's of Nursing degree in Nurse Practitioner studies.
