The primary role of the Automotive Collision Repair Specialist is to restore damaged vehicles to their original condition, adhering to both factory and dealership standards. This position is crucial in fostering a quality-driven environment that prioritizes customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of damaged vehicles to evaluate the extent of repairs needed and formulate a detailed repair strategy.
  • Utilize specialized tools and techniques for repairing body components, including welding, dent removal, fiberglass repair, and panel replacement. Replace any parts that cannot be salvaged.
  • Ensure proper alignment of the vehicle's frame or structure using advanced computer measuring systems or mechanical measuring tools, along with hydraulic equipment.
  • Prepare surfaces of repaired or replaced components for painting through sanding, filling, and priming processes.
  • Execute painting and coating of repaired areas to restore the vehicle's appearance.
  • Perform thorough inspections to verify that repairs comply with industry standards and meet customer expectations, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Maintain precise records of repairs, detailing parts utilized, labor hours, and any additional services rendered. Complete all necessary documentation and reports.
  • Regularly service tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Effectively manage time to achieve a production level of 80 percent or higher, as per industry standards, while upholding quality benchmarks.
  • Ensure accuracy in repairs by strictly following repair plans and industry guidelines to maintain high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members, including estimators, parts personnel, and painters, to enhance the repair process and minimize delays.
  • Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns and keeping them updated on the status of their repairs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to reduce workplace accidents and promote a safe working environment.
  • Inform management of any additional repairs required or any challenges that may hinder the quality of work or alter the promised timeline.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in excellent working condition.
  • Wear all mandated safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirators, as recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Comply with all laws and regulations regarding paints, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
  • Report any discrepancies to management.
