Job Summary

Dignity Health Woodland Memorial Hospital is seeking a Perinatal Safety Specialist RN to join our team. As a key member of our Women's Services department, you will be responsible for implementing, promoting, and overseeing perinatal patient safety and quality of care initiatives and programs. This specialized nursing role combines clinical expertise with a focus on patient safety to provide high-quality care and support to pregnant women and their families.

Responsibilities

Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance perinatal care processes and outcomes, contributing to a culture of safety within the healthcare facility. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based practices and policies. Provide education and training to staff on perinatal safety and quality of care best practices. Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and healthcare organizations to promote perinatal safety and quality of care.

Requirements

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. California RN license. A minimum of 5 years as a clinician in Women's Services and a minimum of 2 years of project experience in Women and Infants Perinatal Safety. Experience with quality improvement/process improvement techniques, project/program management. Certification in one of the following: CCRN-NEO, C-EFM, RN-BCMCN, RN-BC-PERI, RNC [OB, GYN, NEONATAL], RNC-LRN, RNC- MNN, RNC-NIC, RNC-OB. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. NRP certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
