RenewAire Mechanical Designer Job Description

RenewAire, a leading manufacturer in Energy Recovery Ventilation, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our Engineering team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating and updating product design drawings, schematics, and bill of materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed drawings for new products, changes to existing products, and special design requests using CAD technology.
  • Assist in preparing bill-of-materials for new and changed designs and special design requests.
  • Maintain drawing files, including CAD, PDF, and other documentation.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Investigate and resolve problems with parts fit and function, or improve function or ease of assembly.
  • Prepare information for needed documentation, such as drawings for operation manuals and maintenance files.
Requirements:
  • Technical degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years technical design experience.
  • Knowledge of CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) a plus.
  • Manufacturing experience, especially sheet metal experience a plus.
  • Electrical schematic knowledge a plus.
  • Physical testing aptitude a plus.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (intermediate to advanced).
  • Experience with programming a plus (e.g., C++, Visual Basic, LabView, etc.).
