Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at NORD Gear Corporation. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining part numbers, bills of material, and technical documentation. You will also act as a technical resource for our North American operations and communicate with corporate headquarters to resolve issues beyond our scope.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain part numbers, bills of material, and technical documentation
• Act as a technical resource for North American operations
• Communicate with corporate headquarters to resolve issues beyond our scope
• Define product offerings via proposal drawings
• Modify existing products for customer-specific applications
• Create certified drawings and technical support documentation

Requirements:

• 2-year A.S. Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Mechanical and 3D modeling experience required, Solidworks preferred
• Understanding of GD&T required
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel preferred

Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually
• Strong technical skills and ability to communicate with internal and external customers

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a desk for up to 10 hours per day
