Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at NORD Gear Corporation. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining part numbers, bills of material, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain part numbers and bills of material
  • Create and configure technical documentation, including component drawings and 3D models
  • Process ECR and ECN requests
  • Act as a technical resource for North American operations
  • Communicate with corporate headquarters to resolve issues
  • Define product offerings through proposal drawings
  • Modify existing products for customer-specific applications
  • Create certified drawings and technical support documentation
  • Assist with establishing internal processing methodologies
Requirements
  • 2-year A.S. Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Mechanical and 3D modeling experience
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong technical skills
Physical Requirements

Ability to sit at a desk for up to 10 hours per day.
