The Mortgage Financing Specialist operates under general supervision, focusing on generating new mortgage loan opportunities for the organization by collaborating with real estate professionals, builders, previous clients, and various referral sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with potential and existing clients to solicit business, both within and outside the office environment.
  • Conduct interviews with loan applicants and manage the processing of loan applications for both purchase and refinancing transactions.
  • Guide borrowers through various loan options, assisting them in selecting the program that aligns with their financial objectives and requirements.
  • Support the loan processing team in collecting necessary documentation from clients to facilitate underwriting.
  • Collaborate closely with processors and underwriters to resolve any underwriting challenges and ensure successful loan closures.
  • Oversee a substantial pipeline of loans, ensuring compliance with closing deadlines and organizational standards.
  • Maintain a professional and business-oriented atmosphere within the workplace.
  • Actively represent the financial institution in community relations and public engagement activities.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of various loan programs and associated closing costs. A solid grasp of FHA, VA, and conventional underwriting guidelines is essential. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to meet stringent deadlines and work autonomously under pressure, showcasing attention to detail and adherence to established protocols.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial, along with a collaborative spirit. This role requires S.A.F.E. registration upon employment, and candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the registration requirements.
