The Real Estate Paralegal will play a vital role in supporting various teams within Travel + Leisure Co., including Acquisition & Development, Strategic Development, Corporate Facilities, and Risk Management. This position requires collaboration with multiple internal and external partners, providing professional customer service to cultivate positive working relationships.

Key responsibilities include assisting attorneys and directors throughout all phases of real estate and financing transactions, from inception to completion. The role also involves drafting and revising agreements related to resort renovations, new constructions, property insurance claims, and corporate facilities. Additionally, the position will offer legal support to the Corporate Sourcing and Leasing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Real Estate Transactions:

  • Prepare and oversee closing checklists, conduct due diligence reviews, including title, survey, and zoning matters.
  • Coordinate document execution, manage wire requests, and engage in client communications and real estate closings.
  • Maintain accurate records of closing and post-closing documentation.
  • Draft, review, and amend various commercial real estate documents related to acquisitions, dispositions, and financing activities.

Contracts:

  • Prepare, review, and revise a variety of legal agreements, including confidentiality agreements, vendor contracts, and construction contracts related to resort projects.
  • Organize correspondence and maintain document files efficiently.

Additional Duties:

  • Conduct legal research, including the review of governing documents and relevant statutes.
  • Prepare and review estoppels, leases, and amendments related to corporate real estate.
  • Collaborate with team members on assigned projects and coordinate related documentation.
  • Lead and participate in calls with team members or business clients as necessary.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Two-year college degree or equivalent experience; a four-year degree is preferred.
  • Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program or relevant legal experience.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing shifting priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe, with a willingness to learn additional software.
  • 2+ years of paralegal experience is required; 3+ years in commercial real estate is preferred.
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts is advantageous.
  • Hospitality or timeshare experience is a plus.
